This is my favourite site for EBooks

Is that a site that offers free ebooks for download to ppc ? I got on that site and I seemed to only be able to view the ebook on my laptop. There was no option to download the ebook.

No, it supports ebook downloads in mutliple formats, such as MS Reader, Mobipocket, Palm eBook, etc. You have to download the appropriate format for your reader. Not all books are available in all formats. This is a wonderful source for older books such as Tom Swift, the Bobbsey Twins, and others. I especially like the amount of pulp fiction detective stories here.

You should use the following links beneath the book title to download the format you want:

Ms-Reader † Acrobat † Rocket eBook † Zipped format † iSilo † Mobipocket † EasyRead

Hi
I have an Ipaq rx3115. I love to read ebooks, I generally connect wirelessly and go to the online books page. Can someone recommend a good reader for my pda?
Thanks

Has anyone used a program called ubook?
I would like to hear reviews on the different readers before installing any. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Wolfie,

I like µbook a lot. It reads all the formats I usually encounter. I had, for example, a bunch of Palm-formatted e-books from a Visor I used to use. I copied them over to my SD card on my 4355. µbook read them, no problem. The display is very customizable.

BTW (in line with some earlier posts), as a source for free e-books, I've also been very happy with the range of Memoware: http://www.memoware.com/docs_viewers.shtml

Hope this is useful.

Marc

uBook & MS Reader are the best combo for PPC. You can hit sites such as memoware.com, manybooks.net, and many others. Just do a search for "free ebooks."

I use uBook to read all the .pdb's I had for my old Palm. Whenever possible, though, download .txt files. Pocket Word can read them, and there are several free programs that will convert .txt, .htm, and other formats to either .pdb or .lit. LIT files are the most restrictive, since it's fairly difficult to convert them to other formats and only Reader can view them.

Baen's website has free fantasy/sci-fi books, and several new authors (like Kelley Armstrong) post short stories & serials on their websites in various formats. Look around. I've found & downloaded over 3,500 ebooks from various sources.
