No longer able to access ... error

I have recently hard reset my 5450 and I am really annoyed - several of the more expensive ebooks that I have purchased are now giving me this error about Reader is "no longer able to access" this book. Part of my frustration is that I am in the middle of 2 of these books!

After looking over a couple sites with reader tips (Microsoft and Fictionwise) the suggestions are that the version of reader should be 2.2.3 but after an uninstall and reinstall I am still getting 2.2.1 and the error persists.

If anyone can help me figure the rest of this out it would be really appreciated, I would like to finish these books soon!

If it helps to understand what I have done so far - I followed the steps found here: http://www.fictionwise.com/servlet/mw
Great information just didn't seem to work for me. Maybe there is something that isn't mentioned in that article or that someone else knows that can HELP ME!!!

If you've already tried this, apologies, but this seems to work for me.

I quite often get this error in the middle of a book - it therefore seems to be a bug, not that my MS Reader is the wrong version. The following seems to work:
1. soft reset - sometimes that's all that's required
2. re-download the book. If I get error 0x80004005, that works.

Good luck!

I would like to thank you both for the suggestions - perhaps I was not patient enough with myself or my device. I guess the one thing that I did not consider (due to all the updates I have seen with reader) is that the program would be loaded in ROM. So after some tracking and investigation I found that it is possible to have 2 totally seperate versions of Reader on a PPC. For some reason - even the updates installed to main memory did not provide the newest version.

First I removed the secure Reader books from the card then I downloaded and installed the newest Reader version from the MS website and then installed it to my memory card. Then I copied the secure Reader books back into my books directory and it all works!

This is one of those things that makes someone (a technically inclined someone anyway) feel really stupid but hopefully all this will help someone else see that it is not always as simple as it may seem. Thanks again for the thoughts - perhaps now that i figured the main issue they will come in handy :)
