MS Reader - only supports .LIT?

Hi all,

Sorry for the lame question, but am just getting acquanted with my 1st ever ppc (rx3715 - love it, by the way!) and have downloaded and used the MS Reader program. Works very well, but am wondering if MS Reader supports ONLY .LIT files. If that's the case, and if I want to read ebooks of other files, then I suppose my only option is to download another ebook reader?

Thanks,
Puccino

Unfortunately if you have encrypted ebooks of formats other than.LIT you will have to get the reader for that format.

If you want to read unencrypted books, there are many, many readers out there. See this thread about people's favorite readers.

Ok - thanks for the quick replies - appreciate the help in this unchartered (for me) territory!

Yup, another fine example of Microsoft being open and embracing other standards.

Sorry... could not resist!

Agree. But in fairness, eReader won't read .LIT files either...:)

Too true. But as I recall, Microsoft has not been willing to share/license the format/algorithms of their encrypted LIT files either.
