Law Books

This may be a dumb question, but does anyone know of any sites where Law textbooks are available as e-books?

I'm starting an online masters this Autumn & while I'll certainly be ordering some books to be sent to me I'd be more likely to get the 'optional' books if they were e-books. Sending books to Ukraine is expensive & takes a long time plus when I move (next year) they'll weigh a ton!

Thanks :)

Hi hjb. I don't know of any sites that deal in only law books. Are there specific books you want to know if come in ebook form? For medical reference texts, I usually tell folks to go to the publisher of that text and see if they offer an ebook form of the text (some do/some don't). That might be a good place to start for law books to.

Thanks, I'll try that. I did browse the Oxford Uni Press which is one of the publishers & didn't see anything but I'll do a in-depth search on all the publishers. At this point, if I can find anything related in e-book version I'll get it so as to avoid ordering paper copies.

There are currently 541 "Law & Government" texts available on memoware (http://www.memoware.com/?screen=search_results&DirectSearch=Y&p=category^! Law~!), though I doubt you'll find exactly what you want. I used black's Law Dictionary in my CJ & Con Law classes and there are a lot of state-specific files.
I recommend you do a search for the references you need, then look for an online version. Once you find a txt or html file, convert it to LIT or whatever you like. Even html files work well with iSilo or AvantGo. I used AvantGo to give me the latest Supreme Court decisions. Updated daily!
Good luck!

Thanks, I've never looked at memoware before so this is a find! It doesn't have what I'm looking for now but I can see it would be a valuable source for research later.

I'm pretty sure my books aren't available in digital format, but hey, you gotta ask, right?!
