Doc Reader

Greetings

I was trying to download some files like "First Aid" and "US army survival guide" from Memoware.com and could not do it. It said I needed some kind of a reader. Can anyone please tell me what it is, what would I need to do and where I can get it and is it free.

Thanks.
This is all more complicated than I thought.

What format are the files?

.lit
.doc
.pdf
.prc
.etc

Here's the FAQ from their site
From there they explain what to do, and how to tell what format to use once downloaded.

Hope this helps.

David

The survival guide is only available in TomeRaider format from Memoware. There's a version for PPC available at TomeRaider.com, and more information on formats, readers, etc is available on memoware's massive HELP page. Click on the Help link in the top right corner.
By the way, uBook from gowerpoint.com can read HTML, TXT, RTF, PRC, and PDB files on your PPC, and it's free. You can also download the WordRMR file that adds an export from MS Word to MS Reader. With uBook, Reader, and TomeRaider, you can read just about any doc you can imagine. There are also converters out there that go from one format to another, and many are free.
