Help needed with ebook creation (unicode)
I saw that here are lots of experienced people, so I'll try to get a solution for my problem here:
I want to create ebooks for the PPC whith german, french and hebrew text mixed in one document.
I already have installed some unicode fonts with hebrew support on my iPAQ h63xx for use with other applications.
The first try I made was with the free MS tool which converts .doc files into .lit files. Doesn't work since all fonts are converted either in Berlingua or in Frutiger which have no hebrew codepage and since the MS reader seems not able to write from right to left.
The second try was with Adobe Acrobat. Hebrew letters appear on the PPC but the hebrew text is totally garbled, because their text wrapping algorithm does not work correctly if the writing direction is from right to left.
I found some readers which display .rtf and/or .htm files with hebrew text correctly on the PPC, but most tags (i.e. for font size or colour) are not supported, so that the text is not displayed in a beautiful manner.
So, please let me know if you know better solutions.
It's not only a hebrew problem, but also the whole arabic world is concerned (the also write from right to left).
