PDF files not recognized on SD card

I recently purchased a 4GB SD card on which I loaded some pdf files that Adobe 2.0 pocket pc reader cannot find. Adobe reader recognized the pdf files on my previous 1GB card SD card. All other files on the new SD card are recognized by other programs (Windows Media, Word, etc.). Has anyone else run into this problem?

are these pdf files in a folder, or in the root of the card - best to make a new folder, if not, and put them in this folder.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I did place the pdf files in their own folder. Unfortunately, the problem still persists.
