Problems with activation

I spent about an hour on the phone with Microsoft over the ereader activation recently. To everybody that is having problems with your ereader, here is what the tech person told me to do.
Try to activate both your PC and your Ax at the same time. According to the tech person, the Axim pulls some of the activation information from your PC.
You have to make sure that the ereader is closed on both systems completely. My problem was that the reader on my PC wasn't closing properly. Check the memory status to make sure.
Always activate your PC first, and then your Axim.

This should help most of the people who are new to the MS Reader activation.

What do you mean, "at the same time?" are you talking about avtivating them on two different browser screens or just one right after the other?

How do you check the memory status on your desktop?

I am having problems activating my X3i.

thanks ro any help.

Activate the Reader on your desktop, and then activate the one on your PPC. Sorry, I mean use the Task Manager on your PC, and the memory icon in your Axim. The Readers on both machines must be closed for the activation to work correctly.

That was the problem I was having too. My reader was always open in the past tries this time I had closed it and got it activated about a week ago. Man thought I had some advice for naught.

Oh well, NEXT!!!!

To get Task Manager on you PC press Control and Alt and Del simultaneously. To find out how to use it, use the Help file.

Thanks, but MS reader doesn't appear to be running. I now have my Axim activated, but please refer to this thread.http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showt...threadid=29892
