Does anyone now where i could get E-books of the hobbit, the lord of the rings stories or the harry potter books for free?

you won't find those books for free anywhere-all are still well within copyright. i've never seen them even on pay sites. some authors won't allow their books to be e-published (tom clancy for instance)

yeah, it's totally disappointing... i have wasted many hours looking on the net for ebooks... it would be great to get LOTR on my axim, i could read them so much faster if i could do it in class... ;)

Try the usenet groups you would be suprised as to what you can find..

I just joined the forum so I don't know how touchy people are here on the copyright issues that is why I was a little vauge. I have downloaded several thousand books off of usenet to read @ work and @ home. Works really good..
