anyone have advice? After several attempts, still get "MS reader is no longer able to access the book". I have been successful with other books, just not the latest. HELP!?

Have you upgraded to the newest version of MS Reader? v2.2.2? That was supposed to have fixed this problem.

Delete the shortcut to MSReader in your Start Menu/Programs (it's still pointing to the original which is in ROM and thus doesn't get overwritten). Then find the executable file for the new version (I put mine on an sd card but it will depend on where you installed it), copy and paste a shortcut into your Start Menu folder.

Big Smile Problem Solved!!!

Ike,

You da man!!!!!!!

Followed your suggestion and all is well. You would think that when you uninstall a program it would actually be gone. Foolish thought.

I installed MSreader on my CF card, deleted the old shortcut in the Start menu then replaced it with a shortcut to the executable on my CF card.

Worked like a champ. thanks a bunch!

Hey, I know this is an old thread, but Google is our friend (and MS isn't).

Thanks so much for that tip. I'd been scratching around this problem for a while. I didn't connect the copyright date of MSReader being 2002, still, after I 'upgraded' and running the old ROM version via the old shortcut as being the issue. Neither did Microsoft, who sent me on three wild goose chases.
