Can't access ebook on X3
I just bought "The Art of War" from Amazon. It works on my PC, but not on my X3. I followed the directions from the reader website exactly. The Reader is activated. When I try to open the book it says, "Microsoft Reader is no longer able to access the book." I deleted the files on my PPC and PC, downloaded the book again and still no luck. Any ideas?

Did you activate both your PC and PPC at the same time?

I saw something in the Resources section that may help. Under Resources (between the Forums and Shopping tabs above) click on Downloads, then Axim Updates, scroll down and you will find the following:

Microsoft Reader 2.2.2
Description: As of August 26, Dell Axims were being shipped with Reader 2.2.1 and if you try to download a book to read on your Axim you get an error message: "Microsoft Reader is no longer able to access the book." You'll need this downlaod to upgrade. Afterwards you need to activate Reader if not already performed at http://das.microsoft.com/activate/en-us/default.asp?&
Version: 2.2.2 Filesize: 0 bytes

I'm no expert. I just purchased an X3 this past week and have experienced the same problem. I found the above, but haven't tried it yet.

I don't have an X3, but I did install that update on my X5 after I could no longer read ebooks. I was getting the same message that you did. After installing the update it worked just fine.

If you like the Art of War, check out the link section. Black mask online has a section of free asian classics. And by the way I had to do the upgrade thing on my msreader, too.

Wow, thanks! That update worked. It's weird that when I went to the MS site to check for an update it said I didn't need one, but then I downloaded and installed the update and all is good.

Why would Dell ship a Reader that doesn't work?!?

So now that I'm reading my first book I notice there is about 20% white on the text. Is it just this book or do no books have edge to edge text??

The latest version of MS Reader is 2.2.3. This will read certain books which 2.2.2 could not.
