Mad Trouble Opening MS Reader E-Book

I recently downloaded an e-book from Amazon and can't open it on my Axim X5. I have read many MS Reader ebooks with no problem in the past. I purchase most of them from Fictionwise. I have recently updated both my desktop and Axim MS Reader software, so that is not the problem (I believe). The title opens fine on the desktop. It appears in the MS Reader libary on the Axim, but when I select it, MS Reader hangs, or the "loading clock" just goes on and on. This title is a 1386 kb sized file. Could it just be taking a long, long time to load? Something is not right here.....

I answered my own question this afternoon. This e-book file is indeed long! Over 4,000 pages, hence it took a long time to open, but finally did!! If the ebook is large, be prepared to wait! I wouldn't have know this had I not read a message from someone saying it took nearly 15 minutes to open an ebook elsewhere in this forum. This forum is a great resource. SOOO much easier than Dell's community forums.......

Yep

This site is truly a great resource and the memebership makes it so.
One of the Big Knocks on MS READER is the slowness of opening a book and personally I beleive it has gotten worse with each release of the product. However it is still my reader of choice.
Welcome to the site and jump right in with any questions or observations. Very few memebrs bite, well only a couple that bite hard that is.
