Gutenberg has them mostly in html or txt, and ManyBooks has taken several thousand books from Gutenberg and formatted them for almost every reader. Both of these are free. For much more info on ebooks and offline web browsing on your PDA, visit MobileRead.

Hi Bobby,
I think this thread still belongs in eBooks, even if there is some disagreement about the value of it.
Sure, a lot of the material is free (thanks to the Gutenberg Project) and can be found in other places, but that's only maybe 15,000 titles, and they claim to have 60,ooo for paying members.
I'll look into the file formats later and report back in the thread.
