PDF to LIT?

Is there a program to convert pdf files to lit? I don't like the way acrobat setup on ppc. If there is another reader that has a better format that can open pdf files in ppc, that would be better.

Well here's what I do, it's quite simple:

1. Copy and paste all of PDF into Microsoft Word.
2. Download this Word > LIT plugin: http://www.microsoft.com/reader/deve...nloads/rmr.asp
3. Click the MS Reader button to convert to LIT format and enjoy!

As DanManX has indicated that is the only way I have been successful. You will have some issues with page wrap and you may find its more trouble than its worth. But it will work.

a few weeks ago I found an ebook I wanted to buy on Amazon...problem was, it only came in Adobe Reader format. There was a disclaimer stating that Adobe Reader does not support transfer of files to Pocket PC, but only to Palm devices. Anybody know if that's true? I didn't want to spend $15 not knowing. If so, why on earth is it like that?

That doesn't sound right .... I use eReader Pro for Palm ebooks and have no trouble copying them to my SD card.

They also have a free version, but the included book bundle made it worth paying for to me - http://ereader.com/product/browse/software

Do they have any free ebooks you could download and try?

I'm not talking about Palm files...I'm talking about Adobe Reader ebooks. Amazon.com claims that Adobe eBooks can be read on Window's PC's, but can't be transfered to Pocket PC's.

You can view PDF files on the PPC using using Acrobat Reader for PPC, but eBooks in Adobe's format don't work on the PPC.

Check the Adobe website's forum and you'll see all the unhappy folks complaining about it over there.

I've been using Mobipocket for ebooks - too many activation issues with Microsoft Reader!

Cut and paste is not a violation of the DMCA. Hacking PDF might be, but in this case you can copy and paste all you want. No you might be violating the copyright and need premission of the owner, but this is no worse than visiting the Xerox machine at your local kinkos...

Check out Repligo. The reader is free, but the creator is about $30. It will convert the PDF into a format designed to be read on the PDA. Check out some examples at the Repligo website and see how good it really is.
