Well MS Reader is free...other than that you pretty much get what you pay for. Ubook is imho the best out there but its no longer freeware and currently costs $12.00.

Palm Reader
I like the Palm Reader from www.ereader.com. It reads ebooks in Palm's .pdb format and there seems to be more content available in that format than any other. The standard version is free, and the Pro isn't, but I don't see any real advantage to the Pro version anyway.
