I'm having some trouble figuring out how to get makedoc and all that to work. I think I have all the downloads, but everytime I click on something winrar opens (e-books, makedoc, etc...).
Can you give me step by step instructions? I'm not very computer intelligent, but I love good books.

Let me try. .rar documents are bsically the same as .zip files, if I'm not mistaken. I downloaded a demo of WinRar, and just keep using it. From the Greylib ebook site, everything dloads as .rar.
So, dbl click on them, and another window should open (if you have winrar installed). In this new window you'll see your ebook as a .doc file. Click this, and move it to a pre-made folder i.e. "ebooks". From there open it up in MS Word, and resave it as a .txt file. Then, open up MakeDoc (once you've used WinRar to unzip/install it). MakeDoc will ask you for the file path (your "ebooks" folder) and to give the ebook a name. it has other options for line breaks etc. but I leave them mostly as is.
You can experiment with those, and see what works best for you. You can also specify a destination for your .prc file. I use the same folder for both types. So, in summary, dload and install WinRar, and MakeDoc (both free). Then download the ebooks in .rar format from the site I listed. Take that .rar and unzip it using Winrar. Take the resulting .doc file and save it as .txt in MS Word. Then use MakeDoc to convert .txt to a .prc file. Viola! Sounds complex, but really it comes down to about 4 easy steps. Converting an ebook this way takes less than one minute per book. Hope this helps.
