Question I'm confused - Is there a VGA optimized reader or not?

I want to start reading ebooks--both free and commercial-- but since I got my X50v I've become a total VGA snob. I can hardly stand to use anything that isn't VGA optimized anymore....

After lots of searching on these forums and the web, I'm still confused about some things.

Is there a a truly VGA-optimized ebook reader, or not? I've seen others ask this question, but I'm not sure it's been answered (or if it has, I didn't get it, probably because I'm totally new to ebooks).

I see a few ebook readers mentioned in the helpful "VGA Optimized Software" thread... but when I investigate those ebook programs, I don't see any that claim to be VGA optimized. iSilo is listed as recommended in the thread-- but when I go to their site I see no mention of VGA.

I'd like to stay away from oz_vga or se_vga if possible. I don't feel the need for them in any other apps I use. I just want a decent ebook reader that will read multiple formats and take advantage of the X50v's "out of the box" VGA.

Is that impossible? Don't tell me I have to resort to... PAPER books!

ok.. well I am resetting my device as I write... I believe that uBook by Gowerpoint offers true vga... Yep... I have reset my device to SE_VGA... and opened uBook... and it has retained its true vga settings.

As a note the new uBook has a lot of new features including reading chm... but there seems be an issue with getting to the index... Still it is my favorite application for reading on my PocketPC...

I use Mobipocket reader. It is really slow when used as standard, however I have used the Brute Force VGA hack* on mobipocket and it now displays in VGA beautifully, even the largest font is crystal clear and gets a lot of text on the screen. Also mobipocket actually displays much faster as the cpu doesn't have to pixel-double the display.

Some reader programs support VGA directly, it depends what formats you like to read and which reader you prefer
