None of them. None of them look really well in VGA. eBook reading just isn't good enough yet, not for me at least :)

Mobi-pocket all the way...i'm a little confused metronycguy, cause its really easy for me to find my bookmarks on mobi-pocket. What you have to do is go to the very top left arrow. Then click annotations, which show all your book marks, page of the bookmark and any text you highlighted for the bookmark. Also i love the mobi-pocket auto scroll! This makes it soooo much easier for me to read once you get used to using it. I like that you can choose your own fonts for mobipocket as well. The only thing that bugs me is i can't read all the microsoft reader .lit files that i have back when microsoft was giving away all those free books!

OK, I started off in the Mobipocket camp. But the more i used ubook the more i seem to like it.
I think the reason i hated it at the start is that it has its own interface and way of doing things. Now that i realise what its up to i think its quite good.
Still use Mobipocket for its enews though

There is a Technical Support article about this in the Mobipocket Knowldge Base ( www.mobipocket.com/en/support).
You should have a look at it.

I gave MobiPocket a chance. I bought Angels And Demons in secure mobipocket format, and am giving it a chance. With the VGA Brute Force hack from tweaks2k2.net, it looks quite nice :)

I like Mobipocket. Book selection isn't great, but not bad. You can get all the classics and a few recent best sellers.

I use iSilo and Mobipocket. For those of you that think Mobipocket looks terrible on your VGA device, there is a simple (AND FREE!!!) fix for it. It's the same fix used to get Acrobat Reader to work in VGA mode, along with several other programs. Just search for a file called "*.exe.0409" on this board. You copy the file to the same folder as the executable file and then rename the file so "*" is replaced with the name of the executable.
For example, to get Mobipocket to work in VGA mode I just copy the file to the Mobipocket.com Reader folder. I then rename the file to "mobibook.exe.0409" and then start the program. It now runs in VGA and looks VERY sharp!
That being said, I read almost everything in iSilo but keep Mobi just because it has the dictionary feature and can download news. Both programs look great, have plenty of features, and have desktop software allowing me to build my own books.
I just installed the latest version of MS Reader and it doesn't seem to be working on my x50v. It doesn't allow me to open menus, things display incorrectly, etc. I've used it in the past and don't really like the interface anyway.
uBook is full of features, but isn't very user-friendly for me. It also does some very simple things in a very complex manner. It might be better if I spent more time with it, but I just don't want to spend two hours learning how to read a book. Besides, iSilo and Mobi already do everything I need for free.

I am using Tiny e-book reader right now. It doesn't have some of the features I want it to have (like scrolling), but it works fine as a reader. It also reads .lit files...

German/English or English/German Dictionary?
Anyone know of a decent free dictionary for German? I know there are free ones in .lit format, but my Reader isn't working too well and I prefer to stick with Mobi or iSilo.
Thanks in advance!

Your entitled to your opion but I sure don't agree with you. There is a very simple way to save your activations and you can referece the e-book thread to see how to do that. Simple fact is that there are plenty of reasons I prefer MS Reader and I have tried EVERY OTHER READER That is avaible and I keep coming back to it. But depending on your PDA and your style of reading you just have to find the one that fits you.

You clearly understood I was looking for a free dictionary, so why would you spend time telling me where to buy one? I already know how to buy a dictionary and where. I also know where to get free dictionaries in .lit format. However, I am looking for a free one in iSilo or Mobi format.
