I find most ebooks are a complete load of rubbish.

There still isn't a choice of any good contemporary fiction. Most is cheap airport novels or unpublished sci-fi writers.

I'd like to see Ian McEwen, Iain Banks, Vikram Seth, Salman Rushdie etc published as ebooks, but I guess never will due to there being no demand for them.
Also it'd be nice to be able to get any non-fiction title you want as an ebook.

I think perhaps the only half-decent resource of ebooks is that at ePenguin (Penguin) and that's only got a handful of titles.

The last e-books I read were The Dreamstone and The Gate of Ivrel by CJ Cherryh. I really enjoy her writing. I also read political science articles downloaded from JSTOR, but I can't recommend most of these....

I'm currently reading all of James Patterson's Alex Cross books on ebook. I'm a sucker for murder mysteries.

Nothing beats having an actual book in your hands, but ebooks are fun and nice to have in a pinch. if nothing else, you can look like yer doing something serious when yer actually turning pages!

I am currently re-reading the Davinci Code, but i also have some escapist light fantasy and mystery books, and Academic Material's collection of 1000 classics just cuz it blows me away to have 1000 books on a 256mb sd card!!

:)

How do you download journal articles into an e-book reader format? I'm using Mobipocket.

I download them in text format and use the lit converter in Word to turn them into ebooks for MS Reader. I don't know how one would do it for Mobipocket. JSTOR lets you download in PDF, so you could use Adobe, but I have found the quality poor. It seems that the JSTOR articles are not tagged for PPC reading.

Just read Da Vinci Code on e-book. What a fabulous way to read. Anywhere!!! Book was ok. A bit contrived, but worth the read.

Anyone have some great suggestions?

Mobipocket has a free publisher that converts html to .prc (mobipocket format), check out their site.

I'm currently reading 'wizards first rule' by terry goodkind.
