Ebook Reader Help

I have adobe installed on my pda and when I try to view some of my pda files they are way too big. I have to scroll up down left right...way too much. Is there anyway to convert the pda files to a more readable format? Please help?

Do you mean your pdf files? I had the same problem. People on here seem to use Clearvue and Repligo, as well as Adobe. But, honestly, I'm not happy with any of the pdf readers because of the left-right scrolling. As far as e-books are concerned, there are some good readers. I really like Mobipocket. Others use u-book and Microsoft Reader. By the way, on the FAQs on the Mobipocket site it says that they are working on a pdf reader. Who knows when it will happen. you can try Mobipocket for free. But the complete package is only around $20.

Yeah I meant .pdf files. Seems like there would be something out there to convert it to a more readable format.

Did you copy using ActiveSync and Conversion enabled? Activesync will automatically modify the pdf file so you don't have to scroll left/right. But conversion takes quite a long time for large files.

How do you use ActiveSync with Conversion enabled?

By default ActiveSync's conversion is enabled. Ensure "Convert files when synchronized, copied or moved" option is checked in Microsoft ActiveSync's Tools->Options->Rules->Conversion Settings...

You may want to check if the conversion plugin is installed by clicking the Desktop to Device tab. You should see "Adobe Acrobat Document" in the list of convertible file types. This Acrobat converter is automatically installed when you install Adobe Reader 2.0 for Pocket PC on your PC.

To copy and convert your pdf file, just click on Explore of Microsoft ActiveSync (or use Windows Explorer), drag and drop or copy, then paste your pdf file from your Desktop PC into your Mobile Device.

uBook reads PDFs though it strips out the formatting. It may have its own problems but you won't need to scroll left to right.

Not a PDF Reader... a PDF converter to Mobipocket format.
You could change the font size, the text are reflowed, links and images are included.

I don't know for sure. But, I think it's a safe bet that he/she is affiliated. Why else would someone call themselves MobiPocket and only answer questions about MobiPocket. If not, that person needs a serious life.
