eBook MS Reader 2.4 problem

I have a few .lit e-books that display fine on my desktop but when copied over to X50v the fonts are huge, some of them from sets not installed on Axim and even with smallest font settings in MS Reader they are at least 14 points in size.

I was searching the net back to front as I am new to the whole concept of e-books but can not figure out if I am doing something wrong or is it natural that books formatted for desktop do not display correctly on PocketPC??

That's what I already did:

"even with smallest font settings in MS Reader they are at least 14 points in size"
They are huge!

I am afraid there is nothing you can do about this. Some other books have even larger fonts.

Strange that Tiny eBook Reader that I downloaded today works just fine on the same book? Alright, it needs to be in landscape mode because of hardcoded line breaks in the book itself but otherwise beats MS over head.

And I nearly thought that they (M$) got at least one thing right.....

I believe it is because MS Reader is not VGA aware yet. Hopefully, they will fix this as more PPCs have VGA screens.

There is no evidence of double pixelation so I would not agree with your comment.

My 2 penny's worth.

Sorry to rock the boat, but I've tried 5 different readers...still use 4, and MS Reader is my favorite by far.

I currently have installed (in order of preference):
1. MS Reader
2. MobiPocket Reader
3. TomeRaider
4. uBook Reader

I really don't begrudge Microsoft the big bucks they have earned, as many seem to. Sometimes its interesting to wonder what the PC world would be like today without the kid who dropped out of college to take a huge risk with the rest of his life. MS products have served me well in business and pleasure. When someone comes along with a better program (no pun intended), I'll anxiously jump on that band wagon, but for now..."Thanks! Bill & Company"
