Trying to decide between eReader and MS Reader

Any suggestions on which is the better of these 2 evils?

(Aside from mobibook, ubook, iSilo etc.)

I use eReader and have been very happy with it. It installed and worked fine even form my memory card, unlike MsReader that can be tricky to install. There are about 1000 posts around here about not being able to activate MsReader. I tried and could not get it to work.

eReader has a ton of books too. I am not real picky, but I have not had any problem finding the book I want yet. So my vote is for eReader. But if it becomes a real problem for you, you can install both.

Good Luck~

Software wise i could live with either of them (i have both). It only really becomes an issue if you are buying ebooks (because of the DRM issues)

I use MS Reader and have no problems with it, if you install it and activate it search the forums and find the post explaining how to back up the registartion in case of a hard reset - well worth doing, saved me alot of hassle. Also MS do a free ebook creator download for Word so if you download a text doc etc and want to make a basic ebook you can do.

IMO the DRM for MS Reader is a much bigger pain in the butt than eReader. With eReader, to use your DRMed books all you have to do is enter the credit card number you used to purchase them, and it unlocks all of them. Much more user-friendly than the device activation crap MS Reader puts you through.

Does eReader read the .LIT files that MSReader does?

No, eReader does .pdb files. If you want .lit files you have to have MS reader.

Thanks, y'all. I opted for Adobe's eReader in the end.

Currently reading Brimstone (Lincoln Child, Douglas Preston) and also got Contest (Matthew Reilly) after that :) COOL!
