open chm file with microsoft reader

hello, do i have to activate ms reader before i can open files at will? and also, one have to activate the ppc via a pc compusr?

I have downloaded and read numbers of books in MS Reader format without activating. They were, however, collections of books out of copyright.

i cannot find how to open a file via ms-reader, and when i click on a chm file it can not be open. but i've read that it do support chm files.

I didn't know that Microsoft Reader supported .CHM but you should be able to open any non-DRM protected .LIT file without activation.
