Help: How do I save a ebook so ebook reader on my axim sees it??

I'm sorry if this sounds obvious but I have been unable to read a book on my axim. I downloaded a book from the free baen library in zip format. I unzipped it to my ebooks folder in My Documents on my pc. Now where do I save it so that it syncs up with the Axim. Its driving me crazy.
I only have the ebook reader that the axim came with. The manual doesnt talk about ebook reader.

Thanks

Rummy

I don't know which ebook reader came with your Axim, i don't remember if mine came with one.

What format is your ebook in? If its in .txt format you need to download an ebook reader like Mobipocket (www.mobipocket.com). If its in .prc format then you would need to download ereader (www.ereader.com).

With ereader you can install your book onto the Axim using the ereader pc setup software. With Mobipocket you need to transfer your ebook to your Axim. It will then detect and open up your ebook. I think Mobipocket also reads .prc files.

eReader

If you purchased your Axim from someone that didn't wipe it before giving it to you, you may have had eReader installed. This is actually Palm's document reader, though and was not included on the Axim at the time it was sold. (Assuming we are talking eReader).

Unfortunately, you cannot simply move the eBooks onto the Dell. You have to copy them over using some desktop software that eReader includes freely when you use their eReader (either eReader Pro - the one one you pay for, or eReader freeware).

Just a side note, I really like the eReader as a document reader. I like it's simplicity and the way it manages DRM. It's a great product!! (just my little plug for it!! )

Check out http://www.ereader.com for more information.

Hope that helps!

Thanks. I got my Axim from Dell. It came with a simple ereader. I finally got the free book of the day from ereader.com and moved it to the axim. Now it is able to see it. I think I will have to download a few more ebook readers. I think the issue was format.
Thanks
