I went to a manybooks.net and downloaded the complete Maupassant set in ereader format. When I try to open the file it says "File is corrupted" I tried with another book and got the same message. Then I downloaded the same files in adobe format and they opened up fine.
I also downloaded an Agatha Christie book from ereader.com and that worked fine.

Do u think the files were really corrupted or was i doing something wrong. Similarly for msreader i downloaded a text file. converted it to word for pocket pc but still couldnt open it form my axim.

If the books are in e-reader format you have to open them with something that will read e-reader format. e-reader, ubook and mobipocket will all read normal books, but you may need e-reader for DRM protected books. MS reader has its own format.

MSReader does not read Word files.
It reads LIT files.
If you have Word you can convert your files to LIT with this free add-in:

Thanks. I got the plugin. I still dont understand why ereader was not able to read .PDB files from manybooks.net
