No, that means there's something wrong with my version of the program. I'll poke around a bit and theorize why its not working.

Sorry,

Jon

If there's anything I can do to help test, let me know. I'll be happy to test another version for you.

Jon, the ROM does work fine in the original version. I've tried other ROMs too. I'm not using the GAPI tweak, nor have I installed it. I'm a bit weary trying on WM5 yet anyway since it was supposed to fix problems in WM2003 so I don't know if the "problem" still exists in WM5 and if it does if the driver will even work.

Jon, after getting and trying some other test ROMs, it seems as if certain ROMs work and certain ones don't. For the ones that work I get a nice 60 FPS.

After not liking the speed of pocketnester (0.7) on my x50v WM5, I found and decided to try pocketnester (0.8).

The strange thing is that the newer version will run for the very first time and then not again. On subsequent runs, after loading a rom, it will show the error:

emu->do_frame() error

Here is what I've found so far:

If you run the old pocketnester 0.7, the default setting is to not run in fullscreen. This setting is stored here in the registry:
hkey_current_user\software\pocketnester\nes\graphi cs\fullscreen=dword:00000000

When running pocketnester 0.8, it will automatically run the game in full screen. After you exit, the fullscreen registry setting is changed to:
hkey_current_user\software\pocketnester\nes\graphi cs\fullscreen=dword:00000001

When you run pocketnester 0.8 again, it will crash upon rom load. If I edit the above registry item and change it back to 0, pocketnester will still run in fullscreen mode but not crash. Of course, upon exiting, it will change the registry back and crash the next time.

If I disable gapi in the menu before loading a rom, it doesn't crash, but it will constantly complain about gapi being disabled.

Not really sure what is going on. Has anyone else experienced this? I haven't seen my fps go above 30fps when it is working so I'm probably not working as expected anyway.

Hey Jon,

Great programs you've made..I'm just wondering if you ended up taking a look at this VGA build of PocketNester?

Cheers
