You might want to checkout the OpenGL accelerated version (which now supports the x51v). The link is listed in my thread Here

Morphgear has an open-source (read: free) SNES emulator. It's part of the Morphgear package - download Morphgear (find it on Google), then download the SNES package.

It runs full speed (w/o sound) on my Axim X5 - it will cruise on yours.
