PocketCultMAME 0.4
Hi!

There are available a PocketCultMAME release at www.pocketcult.com. It's a port of MAME (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator) with some additions to make it faster since it's based on MAME GP2X.

PocketCultMAME works with most MAME 0.34 games including Capom System 1 and NeoGeo games (some games like Metal Slug should works with enough memory).

It's a develpment release, it does not works at 100% (the sound emulation is not good) but most games are playable.

thanks and regards.
Manuel

WOWWW!! Cadillacs and Dinosaurs RUNS!! ~50-60 fps for most games. very nice. I have to say I'm very impressed with this. MameCE/Mega MameCE gave me a lot of problems. I like this one a lot better.

keep up the good work!

Working smoothly, no sound, though. Might be I don't have the required files... some of my ROMs don't work, have to audit and see which ones are v.0.34 ROMs.

what is a v.0.34 ROM?

I tried many roms and only 1 of them worked.
Even most of the games in the txt file didn't work.

Can somebody prepare an "instructions for dummies"?

Question here about the sound in this port: does it use samples, or emulation to generate sounds?
I have a bunch of them running. It doesn't interpret the D-pad for analog inputs, however, so games like Centipede, Tempest, and Star Trek don't work correctly (Trakball, dial, dial, respectively).
Some games start up and then crash out. Some games start up and freeze. Some just don't load.
Any plans to include a config, even if by config file? Also, anybody know how to select a language on Qix?
