Could any one of you run a game on this?
I have been trying many games in vain.
Even when I move a zip file to the roms directory the application
refuses to see it as a game.

Only for Goal! Goal! Goal! rom the game was listed in the games list.
But then, it said "missing ng-fix.rom" and didn't start the game.

I found a zip file which contains that rom, but still nothing changed.

Any help is appreciated.

take a look at games.txt for the list of games currently compatible with pcmame. Its still in beta. I think the finished product will be a lot better than mamece. the speed is superb. I'm constantly getting 50-60 fps on this.

Couple of games that worked with sound are 1941, 1942, 1943, final fight etc.

and it also doesn't support vga resolution, right?
I managed to run 1941 but it was only 1/4th of my screen.
I am giving a chance to megaCE right now. Yet it seems like
this is even worse. I can't even run 1941. lol

How do you get the games to work with up and down? I tried 1941 and it has full sound and great speed, though I can only move left and right. I map it in options fine, but, it does not move up and down in any games I have tried. PCMAME has the potential of being the best handheld MAME release. I use an AXIM X30.

I tried 7-8 games and none worked. Not worth the effort. I hope others will get enjoyment out of it.

You have to make sure your roms are from the 0.34 version of mame as later ones may not work. There are also methods to verify if your roms are 0.34 compatible. What was a game that didn't work?

I just ran 1941 (World) and up and down works for me. Analog: Disabled, Autofire: Disabled, Orientation: Portrait

Bubba, during a short time I uploaded a build of PocketCultMAME with a little bug, try to download again the emulator. Anyway you don't need to redefine the directional controls by default because PocketCultMAME will autodetect your pad for those controls.

Regards

Thanks! That worked. I deleted the files on my Axim and put a new download back on. This time I did not touch the direction controls, but, changed the action buttons to suit the X 30 controls.

PCMAME is very good for a beta and I look forward to more games working as well as a throttle option for games that run too fast.

I appreciate your reply.
