Problems with PocketSNES on x50v

Ok, so I've tryed 3 different versions now. My roms are good, I tested them all with snes9x I think that's the name.

So I transfer PocketSNES.exe to my built in storage and have my roms on the SD card, and when I load a rom it just sits at the PocketSNES screen. It does transition to full screen, but no go. I tryed moving the roms/emu to main storage, no go.

I was having problems on my x51v with the emulator. I put the program and the roms as close to the root of the main storage as possible now it works fine but when i had them in a folder 2 levels down or so it wouldn't work... hope that helps you

I had some problems getting ROMs to work at one point. It is sometimes because you don't have the exe. located in the right folder relative to the ROMs. From what I understand, the roms should be in a folder called ROMs (the name might e important....) and NOT inside any other folders on the storage card. I hope that helps - sorry if it is something you have already tried.

I had the same problem but fixed with a version upgrade, when I get home from work I will look for the link to the site I got the newer version from, the date on the latest version was july of 2004 or 2005.

There is a special PockerSNES file that is programmed to work on the x50v and x51v. The new emulator uses the OpenGL engine and is made for use on our VGA screens. This could be your problem. You can find the updated PocketSNES emulator in the Games section in the stickie for Accerlerated Programs.

Its in the first post (it keeps updated).

I have it on my x51v and works like a champ. There shouldn't be any problems with file locations. I run my PocketSNES from my SD card, and I load my roms from my CF card. I save my games to both my SD card and my CF card just to make sure i don't lose my saved games. It works like a champ.

It just needs tweaked in the graphics menu. Turn off auto-skip, and set the manual skip to "1". To get the sound working, just play with the settings until you find one you like that doesn't kill the game speed.

Workin rite now, but will try in about an hour or so.

I did d/l the link from the accelerated list, but I guess I will try the folder thing and let you know how that goes.

also, all my roms came without an extension, so i renamed some to .smc and tryed the other (.fig?) and that didn't help. maybe ill try throwing them in a zip, im desperate! lol

trying to find an older version... it used to work for me but for the past couple of months just hangs at the title screen.. half the time i have to reset

EDIT: fixed it... at least my issue... i was using tweaks 2k to change the system font to lucinda, Psnes does not like this
changign the system font back to tahoma causes everything to work again
