How to check rom version for pocketCultMAME??
Hi there
this was already my question, which program do you use to see if therom version is mame 0.34 for proper functioning with PocketCultMame?
Is there any possibility to reconfigure rom to a 0.34 format?
I have a metal slug version which works fine on my pc but I could not find any versions which would work with PocketCultMame-does anybody have a hint??

thanks in advance
BenB

I recommend you to use a rom manager like RomCenter, it's very easy to use and effective. You only need the file pcmame.dat included in the PocketCultMAME package, copy this file somewhere in your desktop computer and once you loaded RomCenter, use the option 'File'->'Open datafile manager', press the 'Add..' button and select the file 'pcmame.dat' copied in your computer. Once you have imported the datafile you'll see the list of games supported by PocketCultMAME. To check your roms, use the option 'File'->'Add rom path' and select the folder on your desktop computer where you have your roms. RomCenter works with many folders and it's more effective if your have a folder with newer dumps and another with olders dumps.

You will see in your list icons in red, yellow and green colors. Yellow games can be directly fixed pressing the right button of the mouse and selecting 'Fix game'.

Metal Slug as most of NeoGeo games, needs a lot of free memory, make sure that you have enough free memory.
