aloha. i have a problem. everytime i try to load a game in pocketgba, the program freezes. I have 24 mb of memory for the game, is this too little?

Yes, you often need 32MB of free space. You can read about requirements here: http://www.sunbug.net/products/emul/PocketGBA.html

Try moving some files to an SD / Micro Drive or simply deleting them. Running programs could also be taking up memory. Go Setting>>System>>Memory>>Running Programs and turn everything off.

yea so i kind of figured it out. i just installed pocketGBA on the memory card and it worked. you jus have to wait a little bit after loading the ROM. thanks for ur help.

Can you run ROMs [I take it if they're in Zip format] from a SD card if the emulator itself is installed seperately in the main memory or does the emulator have to be installed on the card?

yea, the emulator will still work, but for me loading was realllllllly slow. so i just kept the roms and emulator on the sd card. hope that helps.
