It's not possible since we have no "multiple touchscreen areas", the PDA can only transform one touch-screen action at the same time.
Virtual PADs are there to have the possibility to:
1. Have more buttons then the PPC has Hardware-Buttons (simple if you just look at the amount of buttons needed for the PSX Emulator)
2. Have the possiblity to use both hands during landscape-gaming (since you otherwise could only use your left hand)
3. Have an alternative for your crappy Hardware Buttons (some are really bad o use)
4. Give PDAs which can not handle two Hardware-Buttons pressed at the same time the possibility to play games correct, too. For example, the player want's the jump and run forwards, he can only do that by pressing the "forward" Hardware Button and the "jump" Onscreen Button on the Virtual PAD.
