ive finally got round to trying final burn problem is when i go to save it complains about tgetfile.dll,i hunted the file and installed to my ppc but it still wont let me save any ideas?.Your help is well and truly apreciated emulation guru

What do you mean with "installed"? It's not a file you can install, I saw some trying to put it into their windows folder but that's just wrong, it must be in the same folder as the emulator's exe!

right well i copied tgetfile from windows folder and pasted a copy in the final burn folder but stillhave an error box.im scratching my head here thanks mate i aprecate your help!!

What version do you use?
There is a known Savestate problem for some games btw.

erm if your talking about final burn version its 0.007 which i think is latest release but if its the actual tgetfile.dll it was 4.3 from that website link i gave you thanks again for your speedy response!!
final burn is a pain with no game save

Is your FinalBurn in the program RAM or on card? Just curious, for me it doesn't matter and it should work good on wm5.0 devices, too (it was tested on a x51v).

I just tried it for myself with the game 1941 and it works all well.

lol its installed on sd card mate i tried to save burning fight and i get error cannot find tgetfile.dll however when i load up neocup 98 and try to save i get this
this message is shown by a trial version of tgetfiel sdk.the program which you are using is linked with the trial version of tgetfile library. this message will be shown every call to tgetopenfilename or tgetsavefilename. (ver 4.3.7,aug 4,2005.

how confusing eh lol
i have about 125 mb left on main memory and 600 mb on sd card so i dont think there is no way i can put into main memory as my roms alone are at least 200MB.
any ideas??

Delete the tgetfile again
It should work perfectly without this file! It was needed with past versions but not for 0.007 anymore so that's why I was confused from the beginning.
Can you try 1941?

before id do are you talking about the main tgetfile in windows directory? or the one i copied from windows directory to the final burn folder,only if i deltet the one in the final burn folder i get message cannot find tgetfile.dll.Sorry about this its a major pain in the ass i love windows (sarcastic tone)
p.s dont have 1941 rom im afraid

1. Best is you delete both, maybe there is code left in finalburn that causes this problem when the file is found

2. Maybe 1941 is the most easiest ROM to get on earth :P
Anyway, will try neocup 98 myself, maybe it's a Neo Geo Roms problem.

right well ive dleted tgetfile form windows folder and from final burn folders so no trace of it and its still complaining so i going to try and put a fresh copy of final burn back on again and see how i get on i will report back with my results!

aha bingo i reinstalled final burn and it now works!!!!!!! thank you michu for your help and patience you are a great man!!!!!!
by the way just read your last post and that was wiht neocup 98 it saves fine for me are you having trouble with that game?

Yeah, maybe a ROM-type issue (version or corrupt).... sheesh, MAME isn't the easiest to emulate, I'm happy FinalBurn works for you now as there is no better MAME emu out there
