Hey everyone,
Might anybody know of a game boy (gb & gbc) emulator that is compatable with WM2003? I used to use gnuboy but when I try and run the installer on my 2003 device, it says something about it not being compatable. So then I tried yame. It kinda worked, but the text in all of the menus was completely scrambled. Morph gear works, but I'm trying to be cheap here. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Well, Morphgear has to be your choice.
With my Axim 400mhx, wm2003, XCPUScalar and Morphgear, I can play a bunch of GBA games at full speed with sound. I'm assuming the GB games them selves would all run with sound. The Morphgear went through some transitions that have made the sound work out very well. Mike

Well, I spose, if its my only choice...
You mentioned XCPUScalar. Is that an overclocking utility or something similar? My snes emulation is just a few fps from being tolerable with sound. Would this scalar thing help that? Thanks again! ![]()

YameCE also works fine. I think the link in the Downloads section of this site still works. You have to change the sound buffer from 10 to 5 or you will have a split-second sound delay.

Are there any tricks to getting Morphgear to run GBA games at a playable speed? Sound is not a consideration... I have an Axim 400Mhz with a PXA250. Is this just not good enough? Would upgrading to 2003 show a large speed increase?

To be honest, I have heard of "some" improvement with GBA on 2003, but it could just be all rumor. I think it will be awhile before really good speed is achieved.

Hey guys, go check out the new GBA emulator posted about on PocketGamer (Mobile Links)! It's on the first page, called Pocket Advance. I downloaded it and tried out FFTA, and it ran at around 60% which is playable for a RPG. No sound support for this emulator though. But a couple people that posted said it was a little faster than MorphGear (I haven't tried MorphGear myself). And best of all, its FREE!

Giving it a try right now...
*update* I couldn't find a working link on their site, I saw the news item about it, but none of the links worked.
