pocketGBA white screen and "squeal" when loading pokemon emerald? x51v

can anyone please possibly help me with a problem i am having with pocketgba.

ok, i just installed it via the manual installation (extract and copy files) as i couldn't get the cab version to install. i loaded it and strait away got a couple of "send Microsoft error report" messages, but i could then click load rom and load my chosen rom (pokemon emerald). i then clicked play and got a white screen where the game should appear and a horrible sqealing sound...

what should i do? can anyone help?

maybe download another rom :P got the same problem as you...
oh if it helps... i think somewhere out there there is a version (called pocketgba_2700g.exe or something) that lets emerald work kind of good, in portrait mode only however)

well, reading around the solution seems to be that i (we?) need a save state to load, it seems pocket gba can play emerald just fine, except the first few milliseconds of loading the game....

so, does anyone know where i can get one of those? please?

I've had the same problem. I've looked for a pocketgba save and cant find any so I guess you would just have to open the game on VBA on the computer, save yourself a state, and then convert it to pocket gba.

Okay, so I tried using a save on the emulator and it didn't work. As soon as I loaded the save and ran the ROM, it closed PocketGBA. Does it every time. I've tried two different ROMs, and I've tried a bunch of different saves I loaded from the computer.
