pocketnestor, how to use?

I wanted to install some games. Downloaded pocketnestor but it seems to be an emulator and not a game. Emulating what? How can I use this software? Where can I download games for pocketnestor?

You need to get the ROM for a Nintendo game. Technically, it is illegal to download ROMS, and against site rules to link you to anywhere to download them.

I know PocketNestor emulates the NES. I am not sure what else it will emulate. You need ROM files to run the emulator (ROMs are the images of the game you want to run). However, links to ROMs are not allowed in the forums.

sure, delete it if you consider the ability to play hundreds (thousands?) of great old-school NES games to be "useless". Go hit google for "NES roms", you'll find everything you need.

I use Pocket Nestor and like it alot. The only thing I don't like is how you have to reconfigure the controls each time it is opened. Is there a way around this?

There are also TONS of other freeware games available. Just serach these forums and you'll find other favorites. And, many of the purchasable games have trial versions, which are a good play and gauge if you decide to buy.

From what I understand, it is illegle to download the games ONLY if you do NOT own a real copy.

no its illegal anyway. thats always been a misinterpretation.

but noone cares.

and uh, its faaaar from useless. though i like morphgear which emulated snes better. nes is cool too though.

You are never allowed to legally download copyrighted games from somewhere, no matter if you own it or not. The only thing that is now (as of recently) legal, is for you to go to the trouble of backing up the game yourself. For most systems, this is more complex than most average people want to deal with.

Anyhow, not starting a debate or anything......just wanted to clear this up.
