emulators not working
My emulators are not working whatsoever.

Most of the forums talk about not being able to get buttons working, or they're working too slow. Mine aren't even starting.

PocketNester "not a valid pocket pc application", won't even load
PocketSNES "not a valid pocket pc application"
PocketGBA "not a valid pocket pc application"
PocketAdvance "not a valid pocket pc application"

MorphGear loads, and runs, but I don't have enough memory on my x3 to load a game. I know it runs fine, I had enough memory after a HARD reset. But once I get my tasks and events and stuff on the x3 I don't have enough memory any longer to run games....

The only emulation I have "working" on my pda of Snes9xJ4u or whatever it's called. It works, but locks up during the games after 5-20 minutes, so I do lots of saves.

Is there anyone with an ol' 300mhz X3 that has a working NES, SNES, and GBAdvance that doesn't lock up? If so you're my hero, I love these systems, and I would like to play the games sometime during the 3 hours between my college classes.

If anyone knows how to get morphgear running off this little bit of memory on my x3, that'd be great, as the emulator runs smooth if I can actually get the memory for it.

Usually, the "not a valid PPC application" messages only arise with non-PPC compatible files. Are you just copying the .EXE over to your Axim and trying to run it? If so, it is likely that the .EXE is actually an install file meant to run on your regular PC. Try running the .EXE on your regular PC, with your Axim connected via ActiveSync. A majority of PPC applications/games install through ActiveSync onto your Axim.

Tried that, then it says "not a valid win32 application". They're usually zip files, that unzip into a readme and an .exe file. I can't run the .exe on my computer or my ppc. The X3 is an ARM chip right?

Are you sure it's a .ZIP file? Or is it a .CAB file? Keep in mind, that .CAB files will open in your Zip-extraction software on your regular PC.

If it is indeed a .CAB file, you need to actually copy the .CAB file over to your Axim. Run the .CAB file on your Axim and it will install the application for you.

Some are .CAB files, which I've also had pop up the same error message. For instance. "yamece.cab", will absolutely not open on my x3, or computer.

Or for example. Pocket nester is a zip file, which extracts into a setup file and 2 readme files on my PC. THEN I run the setup file and in installs on my X3, and then when I tap the icon I get the same old "not a valid pocket pc application". I tried the ARM version or the PPC2002 version, both have the same error.

I reinstalled morphgear and it now works, the memory problem is gone temporarily. Apparently it's a morphgear but with the memory thing. BUT now I can't get morphgear to use any of the hardware buttons, so it's nearly impossible to play anything but RPGS, and even then still difficult to get my big fingers to hit the right button on that little snes controller. ALSO, even NES in my morphgear uses the SNES controller....that's lame.

I read about people with 4 emulators installed, all running smooth, and I can't get even 1, of the 3 I want to run smoothly, and some even to run at all. Someone out there please tell me they have an X3 running this stuff correctly.
