Question about using Roms....

Are roms specific to an emulator or if you have the rom can you use it with any emulator? is it the same rom file for a desktop emulator vs a pocket pc emulator? I am new to this-sorry!

I believe they create the emulators to work with the ROMS, that is, the ROMS will work under any emulator.

roms are images of the original game. kind of like isos of cds
