Emulators
Hi
Can anyone recommend any good emulators for SNES, Megadrive or Amiga and also where would I find the ROMS?
Can I install old PC games on my X5 i.e Broken Sword, Worms etc
Thanks

Currentlty there is nothing that will run at decent speed on the X5. You can check out morphgear though, with the sound off SNES runs decent. I'n not aware of any amiga emu's at all.

As for the roms, you will need some way to backup your original cartridges that you need to play, can't remember what the backup devices for SNES were called but there are multi format ones that work with SNES & GENESIS. Try ebay, should be cheap now.

Well try Morphgear. The SNES Emulation on that is free since it is very slow (Even on a mew PDA).

You have to tick the first 2 boxes, enable sound and then emulate.

I think my GBA Advance does a better job though emualting SNES. It's really bad on the Axim and hard as hell to control.

Please remember that on Aximsite you can talk all you want about Emulators, but speaking of where to download Roms is strictly prohibited.

Thank you

Actually, it's morphgear Im running on my x30@624 MHz... The emulation itself is quite smooth, but the sound doesn't seem to work.

Do you think you could send me a link to that snes emulator for GBA that you're using? Which flash cartridges does it support?

Pretty sure there the same thing, both being developed by loopy.

Currently neither has sound, the first one can hit full speed on some games though which is very impressive for a device with a 32Mhz CPU. Truly amazing how ineficient our 624 Mhz PDA's must be.

Hopefully once we get Flashcarts for the DS we will get sound. DS should open up a new world of Pocket Gaming! I can't wait.

Heres a list of emulators for the gameboy.

By the way, how do you like the X30 624. i can't decide between that and the new X50v. I'm really concerned about the horrible graphics perfomance of the Dells though, my X5 is pretty bad. Good for music & movies though. Oh well, i have till April to decide (Present for myself on my birthday) DS should keep me busy till then.

I love the video playback on my x30. Just encode using windows media encoder and set the resolution to more closely match the axim. Also increase the bitrate from the default pocket pc setting.

Anyway, Im a PSP fan myself That extra 3d processing power will make more advanced emulation a breeze N64 anyone?
