How do you control/input to emulated games?
Hi,

my x50v is on the way, but as far as I understand there is only a 4-way controller plus one button you use as an input, so how for instance SNES emulation input work?

You an map any of the buttons for calendar and all that for buttons on the emulator. Morphgear also has a virtual controller that is on your screen taht works well for hitting buttons like a b x y. It leaves fingerprints, but thats easy to clean off my screen protector.

I have found most games that are fun don't require all of the buttons, so i remap the keys for different games.

Check pictures of the device at reviews; a 5-way (4-way plus center button, works as 8-way digital plus button) plus 4 hardkeys on the front and 2 on the side.

jeff

Course, if you really just wanted SNES, then a Zodiac or GP32 is better suited.

Yeah, Ive seen the pictures, just that I figured those buttons were hardcoded for certain stuff. Also I didnt notice the two on the side, thanks.

Now, exactly where on the sides are the 2-side buttons suited?

They're on the left edge; default is for them to be network on/off, and .. somethign else forgotten. First thing I do on a devie is set the .. (ah yes, voice recorder) button to launch a app launcher or today screen

Youcan customize buttons on all PDA devices, and games/apps can override their function.

The other button is record... I use the two side buttons as L and R.

How do you make the virtual controller bigger on the X50v VGA screen? I firured out how to make the game screen bigger but not the virtual controller. It's tiny and I cant use it unless I use my stylus.
