PocketSNES help!

Sorry fellas, im a new comer to the PDA world. I downloaded PocketSNES and super metroid to play on my axim x30. I created a files folder that automatically syncs with my axim. It synced the pocketsnes folder with the game inside to my handheld, but i can't play it. I used file explorer to locate it, but when i click on it, only the options to cut, paste, rename, delete, etc. comes up. How do i access the emulator and rom? Am I loading the program incorrectly? Thanks guys!

Yes i have unzipped pocketSNES, and there are a few files in there, but no familiar applications that i recognize. I know that the PocketNES had an installer for it that you installed and then ran activsync. But, i don't see anything like that in the SNES folder and files.

Alright... sorry if I sounded condescending, but I have heard of people making that mistake, so I just wanted to be sure.

Anyway, as far as I recall, when I downloaded PocketSNES (the OpenGL version found on these forums), it came with two files: PocketSNES.exe and fmod.dll. I put these, along with my ROMs, in a folder in my Pocket PC's built in storage. From there you should be able to simply launch PocketSNES.exe and use Tools > Load ROM to load your ROM. If that doesn't work, try re-downloading it and reinstalling.

If it does work, you may want to create a shortcut to PocketSNES... go to the PocketSNES EXE and tap and hold on it. When the context menu comes up, select copy. Browse to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs and select "Paste Shortcut" from the Edit menu. You should now have a shortcut in your Programs folder.

nah man, you didn't sound condescending at all. And i havn't downloaded that version of SNES that you speak of. I tried to download it off of freewareppc.com. It can be found under utilities and emulators, so you can see what i mean. But, the version you just told me of sounds much easier, if you could please tell me where I can download that one from, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Why not grab Morphgear while your at it, It is a top quality emulator with multiple modules.
SNES, NES, GG/SMS, GBA,GB/GBC, Genesis, Turbo-16 just to name a the great modules we have... for now. Marat, one of our developers is currently working with some Nintendo DS code and may see something soon .

A note- Curently the 2700 version is on hold until Tala emails Mr.X back. Tala seems to have fallen off the planet or something but if anyone see him on, plz remind him to email Mr.X or me.
The ds support is another thing that should be explained better... Marat "may" be making a ds emulator for Morphgear later on, he has some of the code to do so.
But it is still awesome !

Not exactly off the planet, but i was on a longer bussiness trip and just came back. I emailed the sources for texture loading to SeanX
