Nintendo DS Emulator for PPC is here!
Sorry. There isn't really a DS emulator for PPC out yet, but wouldn't a DS emulator for PPC be great? We wouldn't have to worry about the touchscreen. :P I haven't looked into the DS specs at all, but I was wondering... do you guys think the x50v could handle DS emulation? I know it's a bit early to be speaking about DS emulation, since there isn't even a working DS emulator for PC, but I thought it was an interesting topic. I'd love to be able to play Warioware: Touched on my Ax.

Actually... not to let anything out the bag but someone tore a whole in it . Marat is in the process of releasing later on in the future.. a DS emulator for Pocket PC. He has some of the code and is fervently trying to make an emu as we speak. No release date of course, it'll just be another one of those surprises we at Morphgear will spring on you all when you least expect it.
Another tidbit... Some of the ds codes are already in the new VGBA release that will be coming soon to Morphgear on the Pocket PC!

Yes very lame post seeing the DS is alot more complicated to emulate/control than a regular system. Also, you shouldn't trick people in posts.

Did you read my post above? There is going to be a DS emulator sometime in the future, made by marat who makes our commercial modules. He has already implemented some of the code already into the new VGBA module he'll be releasing very soon. I'm not being misleading at all about this subject. If you clicked the link above, Marat himself said he's looking into developing a new emulator/module for Morphgear. He does have some of the Nintendo DS code and is currently working on it right now. To answer Brooklyn_101 question... probably not. Currently the X50v (if tweaked) and the Ipaq hx2750 are the only handhelds that seem to run vgba at really good speeds (frameskip 0-2, sound on) and the Nintendo DS is a little more powerful than it's brother. Greater speeds will probably be needed for nintendo Ds emulation. Marat will of course make this module for all kinds of devices but the best handhelds to use it with are the two i mentioned above...

Like everyone else said, don't trick people into reading your post.

da1writer said that it's already being worked on, and indeed, it's certainly possible: the DS is quite a low end product. To be honest, I think the specs are actually quite pathetic, and the screen quality is horrible to boot.

That aside, it will require some tricky coding since you're emulating not one but two processors, so it might take a while. But I think it's definitely possible.

Next time if you want to get peoples attention just post something like "DS emulator!"

Don't post that things are finished like a jerk. Now theres going to be rumors flying around beause a lot of poeple won't read the post, but will refer to it.

There are ways to drum up interest in your topic (as mentioned) without being a complete @ss.

Yes, tricking is bad, but they could just as easily have hovered over the link and seen you weren't for real.

And, personally, I don't think usable DS emulation is possible just yet. The GBA emulation isn't perfected just yet. Once they get that, then I'll worry about the DS.

Dudes, a DS emulator is gonna be impossible on a X30 model. The screen is too small!

I was kind of hoping they would work on a cheap knock off to McDonald's fries to buy in the stores.

The DS does not have 2 processors. It's got the DS stuff, and then it just emulates the GBA. It does not have the actual GBA hardware in it at all. Hence the reason some GBA games do not work (like Mega Man Battle Network 4). So you do not need to emulate 2 processors. Just the one for the DS, then you can use the GBA code already created for the rest.

From Nintendo's official specs: "CPUs: One ARM9 and one ARM7."
