Pocket Snes w/ sound, running smoothly!
I just tried quite a few emulators, around, and finally found PocketSNES Open GL

Below i have a small video of it running Donkey Kong Country, please note that my exilim's macro video function isn't too clear, however my keyboard in the background was

Donkey Kong Country running on an X50V (please "save target as..." because it wont stream)

The sound is a tad bit out of sync, but the actual game runs at approx 30fps. I've tried quite a few other games, super punch out, puyo puyo sun, batman returns, yoshis island, stunt fx etc. Just to see how they all worked. Most basic games work just fine, but yoshi's island and stunt fx are obviously games that require hard emulation (especially for the FX chip).

Anyway, I'm sure a lot of people know this, but i just wanted to post it because I've seen a lot of complaints about the SNES emulation etc., and I can't see what the problem is now, it's progressing quite nicely!

Lets just hope the sound issue is fixed soon, but meanwhile, I can sure manage with out of sync sound and 30fps

Ya, we all know, but thanks anyways.
Oh, and 30fps....? We in the emulation World are used to 60Fps to define 'smoothly'. 30 is just minimal adequate...so now you know.

Well i've had games run at more than 30, but DKC is quite demanding. I've heard of people having trouble with any games running "adequately" at all with a snes emulator, so i thought i'd post a demo of the pocketsnes open gl version.

Is there an emulator for the origional NES? And do the regular roms work that you used to use for the pc emulators. I have almost every nintendo game made for my emulater on the pc and it would be great if I didn't have to hunt it down for my ppc.

I tried installing this zip on the PPC by extracting the exe to its own folder and running it, but it says it cannot find PocketSNES and its components

Actually Pocket SNES made by tala (open Gl version) is actually only for devices that have either the intel 2700g (Axim X50v only)
or the new direct X devices (Windows Mobile 5.0 upgraded devices).
Morphgear's Snes(you must grab the Morphgear system and the Snes Module) is pretty fast once you fool around with the settings a bit. I can help anyone out who are having any troubles as well, here's a link to the site to grab the stuff(Follow the steps on the page) and here's a link to chat on our forums ! I thank anyone that still supports us (nudges Fishwood)!

Ive had MorphGear with the SNES module, and its great.
The only thing is that the sound really lags, so I was looking for a better alternative to that situation.

I have no problems still promoting morph gear it works really well and is by far the best gba emulater out there and still the best snes emulater (i know pocketsnes runs fast but sometimes it runs to fast and morphgears snes module still runs smoothly on my device)

Try pocketnetster for nes, a very very smooth emulator Tried river city ransom the other day on it, while using the touch screen as a gamepad =) Wouldn't recommend it for the directional, but i would for buttons A and B!
