First the sob story. In hospital with only the X50V for company and no PC. Looking for games that run direct and don't install via PC. have wireless downloading but can,t find any games that run direct. Don't have to be free if they are good. Can anyone point me to a few please!

You can download free programs here: http://www.freecabs.de/

They're all .cab files, so you can install them directly, without activesync. Unfortunately, if you want to install them in BIS, you'll need CabInst, which comes in a .ZIP file. If you need it, PM me and I'll unzip and email it to you so you can drop it on your device.

also, alot of programs avaliable online give you the option to download the file in .CAB form...

[thanks if you could email me the unzipped cabinstall would be fantastic. When i have downloaded CAB files they seem to open as a text file rather than saving to the device as a file. Any trick to downloading CABS?

the cabs should download as .cab files...i've heard of them coming in as text before...there was a thread somewhere on that...try searching the forums (i'd do it for ya, but i'm on my ppc and the battery is gettin low...)

i remember the thread...there wa a trick to getting it to work...
