@ pmcizhere,
Lovely machine it really is :). THPS 2 will make it even better ;). Being a gaming freak, i have Cube, Stuntcar Extreme, Enigmo, Doom, Athelion 2, Solterra, Chopper Fight (2700g optimized), Worms World Party and Ultimate Bowling Challenge on it.
Weird thing is, i didn't get GeoRallyEX and Toygolf with my Axim x51v. You are supposed to get it in the pack. I ordered the additional gaming pack which i did receive though.
So now i'm looking for THPS 2, GeorallyEX and toygolf :P.

Anyway, I just want to know if frameskip is used, and if so, how much, since I don't really like frameskipping very much.

THPS2 will top out at 30 fps in very extreme circumstances. Typically, it averages out to about 12-20 fps which is quite playable. The physics engine of THPS2 gets upset when the framerate dips below 8 fps. When the framerate goes below 8 fps, the game stops frameskipping and game time slows down.
Does this answer your question? I think you mean framerate instead of frameskipping. Right? THPS2 almost never hits 30 fps, so frameskipping is its normal mode.

I have reviewed it for WindowsMobile247, and it for the most part does stay in the 12-20 fps range. The New York level plays very fluidly! Read it here, http://www.clieuk.co.uk/thps2.shtml and also look at some videos of it playing here and here.
They are each 10 MB, and the framerate is a max of 15 fps, since the video camera was recording to a memory stick. So, the game runs better than these videos show sometimes. Enjoy!

Thanks for taking time to do that pmcizhere. I'm going to check it out right now :).
Great game.
What really sucks is, it isn't available here in Holland.

pmcizhere- how much free ram did you have before running this game. I see it needs about 32mb (according to aspire) and I saw you were running sbp pocket plus. just curious...

Yes, actually it only requires 28 MB of free Program Memory (On my x51v, at least.). I often run it when SPB Pocket Plus shows I have 27.9 MB or slightly less, and that is also with WisBar Advance (Beta) running.

I'd like to also thank you pmcizhere for the review and videos. My THPS 2 CD has been delayed yet again, but it looks like the game is going to be well worth the wait :approve: .

No problem. I would say it's worth the wait, too! I get many looks and questions whenever I play this in public. Some people even want information about buying the Axim from Dell! :D

From the looks of it, this has got to be the best PocketPC game ever.
Only downside is i don't have it.
