Exclamation One huge step in pocket pc gaming history!

Okay its been mentioned a couple times on this forum, and even has its own thread here. The thread started out one month ago "Quake 3 arena" and at the time the frame rate was 1-4fps, clearly unplayable; fps is the amount of frames(images) that can be shown per second, the more frames cramed in the second the smoother and more playable the game will be, 29-30 is the amount they use when encoding videos(most), while this was a nice idea, and showed promise some people found it hard to beleive quake 3 would ever be playable on a pocket pc.

Raines did mention an update in the original quake 3 arena thread but he left out a few details. The developer posted a few comments on pocketmatrix about this weekends upcomming release. http://www.pocketmatrix.com/forums/v...21942&start=15

apparently he's achieved 15-25fps (frames per second) and says its playable(on x50v/51)! a great day for x50v gamers!

for more info about the port/screenshots installation notes/guides/req's go to the developers site at http://www.noctemware.com/q3ce.html

If you KNEW there was an ongoing thread on the topic, that said the EXACT same thing, please tell me WHY is it so important of you to start a new thread? Mods please either merge this with the existing one or lock it.

If you have something to add about the quake 3 discussion, add it to the EXISTING thread.

Well its not the exactly same thing many details left out, plus it is an old thread, for me the quake series has always been the game i played the most; so this is the greatest news i've heard for ppc besides Tala's version of OpenGL PSNES, and of course quake mobile and pocket quake, i think it deserves a new thread, besides the gaming section doesn't get as many hits/views/replies as the rest so it gets burried and overlooked easily.

Nothing to get upset over, in life you'll find plenty of others who will not share your "Common Sense" and beliefs...
