Okay its been mentioned a couple times on this forum, and even has its own thread here. The thread started out one month ago "Quake 3 arena" and at the time the frame rate was 1-4fps, clearly unplayable; fps is the amount of frames(images) that can be shown per second, the more frames cramed in the second the smoother and more playable the game will be, 29-30 is the amount they use when encoding videos(most), while this was a nice idea, and showed promise some people found it hard to beleive quake 3 would ever be playable on a pocket pc.
Raines did mention an update in the original quake 3 arena thread but he left out a few details. The developer posted a few comments on pocketmatrix about this weekends upcomming release.

apparently he's achieved
15-25fps (frames per second) and says its playable(on x50v/51)! a great day for x50v gamers!
