Can't load games

Ok, at the risk of sounding like a complete prat...... I have recently bought an Axim 30 where I work. When I download free games from the internet (to get me through boring meetings....) I get the message 'not a valid pocket pc application'. Any suggestions?????

When you download the .exe, it is usually an installation program.
You must run it from the PC and it will install to the PDA while it is connected.

Edit:
You may also come across .cab files. Those are installs too, but will need to be copied to the PDA and run from there to install.

Most games, and apps you download to your PC, and then run the .exe from there using activesinc to install to your Pda. You can copy fromPC, and or download using your PDA's WIFI ability if you have that capability,Cab files to your Pda, and run them from there using a program called cabistl located in my MYPDA section, It is a great app to install programs and apps without a PC... Also located in MYPDA are free games and apps you might like:approve:

Why do you need a special program to run the .cab installs?
All my PDAs, including my X51v, have been able to do it out of the box.

cabinstl lets you choose the install location for the prog, otherwise it will go into the default folder. (not much of an issue with WM5)
