FatHammer StuntCar Etreme Problems

Hey there guys,

I have seen a few posts of people trying Stuntcar Extreme and getting the error "SCE is not a valid pocket pc application" on their x51v's. I have not been able to find any reason why this would happen, or any resolution for this. The funny part is that Dell sells this software for the x51v as part of a gamne pack or something.

I am just wondering if anyone has seen this problem, and resolved it, because i can not figure it out. A weird thing is that when you install the program, and choose the SD memory location, it still installs the program to Main memory. I haven't seen a WM5 program do that. Unfortunately, I have written to Fathammer support, but not received any word back from them.

Any help would be appreciated on this one.

Hey there,

I guess I should have posted this thread in the Games section... Sorry!

Anyway, I have been talking to the developers about this, and it looks like the version of Stuntcar extreme available through Dell for the x51v's is in fact a hardware accelarated version, while the downloadable version from Handango is the original version meant for x50v's, not the x51v's. They let me know today, they will update this shortly. So apparently the error is showing up as the method of executing the game is not recognized by the newer x51v's or something probably related to WM5 (just my guess as people with x50v's seem to get it working on their 2003se devices).

I just bought Stuntcar Extreme and the WM5 upgrade for my x50V and it doesn't seem to work in WM5. Says what your said, not a valid app. I'm peeved since it did not say that they are incompatible on the dell website and I even ordered both at the same time.
