Haven't installer either, but want to today. Installed 'pocketnester' wasn't impressed with graphics, 'old school' stuff, but was nice to play a FOOTBALL game for a change. Anybody make a good football game for pocketPC?

I know 2 questions, but I do type with 2 fingers!
FIFA 2002...
oh wait you mean American football!!;)

Cegg runs gamegear/mastersystem games - one of the later "John Madden's" games came out on the gg
Morphgear running as a pce emulator is going to look a lot better than nes/gg games so it mightnt be a bad idea to do a search for pc engine American[otherwise you'll get what you guys call soccer, games )football roms

to answer your other question megamame supports a lot more games than mamce (1000+) but seems to be unstable...

copyright notice number #527 you shouldnt use roms unless you own the original game...so off to the second hand games store with you...;) ]

Neither is "best", they are both the same thing. MAMECE has drivers for about 100 games (actually 60 games, the other 40 are variants), while MegaMAME has drivers for about 1000 games (hence the big difference in size and memory requirements)

As for quality, what did you expect ? These are emulators, their purpose is to emulate the system they are supposed to be emulating If the system is 20 years old, the graphics will also look like they were designed 20 years ago ;)

And a nice FOOTBALL game......well, FIFA is the best, but it looks like the old Tehkan World Cup.........damn, this sure brings back memories....

I had this same problem... installed megamame CE on my axim (in mem) and keep roms on my sd card.

mame would not start...

I copied one rom to the program files / mameCE / roms folder

and now it starts up fine. I think it is checking for roms to be in the local folder dir...

Thats what I tried to do......MAMECE would locate the ROMs with no problems, while MegaMACE would just stall....

So I had to move the ROMs over to the /roms directory, but still the MegaMAME version could not start up. I think my problem relates to free memory, not roms location.....

You need to create a path on your storage card that mimics the path on your internal memory - i.e. \storage card\program files\MAMECE\ROMS

It is looking for a path on any storage device.

At least this worked for me.
